The MEC range of shotshell reloading presses are very popular amongst shotgun reloading enthusiasts. Replacement charge bars and powder bushes are not only expensive, but can be difficult to find at times. Often multiple parts are needed in order to make a variety of loads. Universal Charge Bars are manufactured in Canada and are made to suit MEC shotshel reloading presses. They are fully adjustable for both shot and powder and allow you to reload anything from 410G quail loads up to the heaviest 12G field loads. They are all compatible for lead, steel and bismuth shot. The D/DS model suits the MEC range of progressive presses, whilst the C/CS model suits all MEC single-stage presses.

For bolt action rifles, full length resizng of cases is not requred if the cases have already been fired in the rifle they will be used in again. The fired case is already a hand-in-glove fit with the rifle chamber - preserving this fit is the key to maintaining accuracy and prolonging case life. Collet sizing (also called neck sizing) only resizes the case neck to allow proper bullet seating - leaving the rest of the case alone. The Collet die also removes the spent primer from the case. Cases last longer, so the savings eventually pay for the die set. The set includes a Collet (Neck Sizing) Die, Bullet Seating Die, a shell holder, powder dipper & load data - all packed in a convenient storage box. Only reload cases that have been fired in your rifle should be neck sized - others should be full length sized prior to the first firing in your rifle. Lee Factory Crimp Dies Lee Factory Crimp Dies $22
The Lee Factory Crimp Die crimps the bullet in place more firmly than any other tool. It is impossible to buckle the case as with regular roll crimp dies. Trim length is not critical. Tests demonstrate that even bullets which have no cannelure will shoot more accurately if crimped in place with the Lee Factory Crimp Die. The Lee Factory Crimp Die can also be used for factory ammunition, which often becomes more accurate and better able to withstand rough handling because the bullet is firmly crimped in place. A firm crimp improves accuracy because pressure must build to a higher level before the bullet begins to move. This higher start pressure insures a more uniform pressure curve and less velocity variation. Even powder selection is less critical. Bullets will not shift in or out of the case under heavy recoil. Until now, handloaders seated the bullet to touch the rifling to achieve similar results. This is not always possible nor desirable. The Lee Factory Crimp Die is included at no extra charge with Lee PaceSetter Dies. This die is calibre-specific and can be purchased seprately to compliment die sets of any brand that you may already have. In our experience, using the Lee Factory Crimp die is one of the most significant steps leading to improved accuracy of your reloaded ammunition.
